Last month, James and Cassie over at Media Monarchy were kind enough to invite me to do my first ever interview for my book!

It is an audio clip where I talk about the practicality and importance of learning to preserve food via fermentation.

Since JEP shared his own positive personal experience with sauerkraut and he was getting MM members excited about making sauerkraut I am gonna share the basic recipe from my recently published book here on Substack soon as it is a great place to start for fermentation beginners (and turning a cabbage into sauerkraut is cheap even if you do not grow your own and requires little to no specialized equipment).

I am grateful to JEP and “Casbot” over at Media Monarchy for having me on their Book Smarts series and for their shout outs on their radio show over the last few months.

I will be doing monthly segments on Media Monarchy in the New Year so tune in if you would like to hear me share recipes, regenerative gardening tips and other fun/empowering tidbits this winter!

I also want to express a special Thank you to all you Media Monarchy members and Corbetteers who have purchased a copy of my book! 🙂 I feel grateful to be part of both communities which are filled with so many intelligent, interesting, determined and courageous individuals that are willing to take responsibility for their own lives by growing some of their own food and medicine at home. Every little bit counts (even if one lives in an apartment with no soil to grow in). Each step we take towards decentralizing our access to what we need to survive, be healthy and live a fulfilling life, breaks through another set of the shackles the powers that should not be intend to use to enslave you and me.

If you have not checked out the excellent material over at Media Monarchy yet I highly suggest giving a listen to their broadcasts. JEP and Cassie have great taste in music, a discerning eye for pertinent news and events, great solutions based material in their members only network (as well as just a generally enjoyable way of weaving all those threads together).

I have been a member of Media Monarchy for a while now and have really been enjoying it and appreciating interacting with the community of intelligent and interesting people that interact on their website and forums (when I have time).
