Dioxin Detox
Exploring the foods and natural compounds that assist the body in detoxing dangerous chemicals related to GMO agriculture and the chemical industry
Dioxin Detox
If you live within the fallout zone(s) of where the chemicals were dispersed into the water, soil and air I would suggest using caution to avoid contamination (and/or evacuating to outside the fallout zone until you can find some independently verified water and air tests to confirm the toxins have dissipated, which may not be for a long time in some cases).
From the article linked below:
“With contaminated air and water - leaving the area is the way to avoid the toxin. Negative ionizers can help with volatile chemicals in the air - then sweep and mop more often. I would recommend using gloves and eye shielding goggles for clean-up if in near vicinity as these chloride chemicals can be a skin irritant.”
Also it is worth noting that we don't even have the full list of what chemicals were on that train nor a comprehensive screening of how they may have combined once they were lit on fire and dispersed into the atmosphere so detoxing or engaging in bioremediation for Dioxin alone may not be enough. That beings said, some detox is better than no detox.
As you can see these chemicals were dispersed far and wide and so I wanted to share what I have found so far in my research to find solutions incase this info can be helpful to those who are being impacted by the massive chemical spill / burn due to the derailed train in Ohio.
When the chemical spill in Ohio was lit on fire this combined the chemicals into making additional airborne toxins (one of the most dangerous of which is Dioxin).

I would like to give a big thank you to the person who goes by the screen name “r.ray” on The Corbett Report website for suggesting I check out the article written by Jennifer Depew (linked below) in the comments section of Interview 1787 - "Ohio Chernobyl" - #NewWorldNextWeek as she provides info on other chemicals that were dumped and dispersed into the soil, water and air that is very helpful.
I noticed how Jennifer Depew emphasized the importance of Nrf2 promoters in her article linked above (for providing Antioxidant and Mitochondrial support nutrients) so I will share the following.
Here is an excerpt from my book that focuses on some vitamins, plants and fungi that contain Nrf2 Supportive Compounds:
– Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis)
– Curcumin
– Berberin
– Quercetin
– Sulforaphane (mostly found in leafy green vegetables and some fruits)
– Lactobacillus (in fermented foods)
– Vitamin D3
– Zinc
– Cranberry Fruit
– Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum)
– Bladderwrack (fucus vesiculosus)
– Wakame (Undaria pinnatifida )
– Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) Root Extract (containing Resveratrol)
– Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng) Root Extract
– Broccoli or Kale Sprouts
– Selenium
– Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum)
I also noticed how Jennifer emphasized the importance of supporting mitochondrial health when attempting to mitigate the damage of the toxins discussed above so I will also share this:
Additional info can be found below in links to articles I have published in the past (which are linked in the description of that archive dot org image linked below and in Jennifer’s article linked above) which focus on natural whole foods that contain compounds which research has shown help to increase rates of mitochondrial biogenesis.

Below I have added info that was shared in a comment made by Roman S Shapoval regarding the benefits of healthy fats in assisting with Dioxin detox as well as info from the following post regarding the Chaga mushroom and it’s potential benefits in mitigating the damage of the toxic chemicals that were dispersed in Ohio (such as vinyl chloride).
Roman S Shapoval (who writes “The Power Couple” commented “Since dioxin is fat-soluble, certain fats in the diet can help with chelation, such as grassfed clarified butter. I make it at home, super easy. Just simmer butter until it foams, keep simmering for 20 minutes, then strain through a cheesecloth. Shelf-stable forever.
FYI: In one study with 88 subjects, 48 of them underwent a 7-day detox of ingesting ghee (clarified butter) while on a no fat, meat or dairy diet. The researchers measured 9 different environmental PCB dioxin toxins and 8 pesticide toxins.
They saw a significant reduction in the 9 PCBs and the 8 pesticides after the 7-day ghee protocol: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12233802/
Thanks to a comment from JustANobody I became aware of the following substack post:
From clif high’s post linked above “Above all, vinyl chloride will attack the liver. It is most rapidly fatal through breathing with a sufficiently large volume of it, however, it produces the most damage over the longer term via the liver. So if you survive breathing it, you still are in the worry zone..
..This would be a clear pointer to daily use of Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) tea as it is very liver protective as has been established over a number of studies over these last 100 years. And we specifically note in the article at the link below, that Chaga prevents, reduces, and eliminates liver cancers in a general sense, but also has had results against the specific ‘rare’ liver cancer that is associated with vinyl chloride exposure.”

One thing I would like to suggest when buying Chaga mushrooms (or Chaga extracts) is to ensure that the company harvesting the mushrooms is doing so in a way that respects the forest (as Chaga mushrooms grow exclusively on older Birch trees and some companies decimate the populations of both the trees and the fungi through over harvesting).
Bioremediation of Soil Contaminated With Dioxin
I have done some preliminary research on the viability of bioremediation (bioaugmentation, biostimulation, mycoremediation and phytoremediation) of dioxin contaminated soils and I am seeing some promising data.
I am especially encouraged to find that (in a similar way to what I discussed with glyphosate degradation above) a great many of the bacterium that have been studied for their ability to denature and dissolve dioxin are species that exist in thermophilic compost (and/or “compost tea”) (see a list of some of the relevant species here: https://www.mdpi.com/2305-6304/10/6/278#table_body_display_toxics-10-00278-t004 )
The studies I have found so far are listing a number of bacteria species which are prevalent in "hot compost". There are also a number of fungi species (some of which are listed here: https://www.mdpi.com/2305-6304/10/6/278#table_body_display_toxics-10-00278-t004 ) which are effective in either breaking down or hyperaccumulating dioxin (after which the fruit bodies would be removed and isolated away from the soil/water).

I hope this info helps and if you are within the fallout zone of the chemical catastrophe in Ohio (or the neighboring areas) our prayers are with you.
And speaking of prayers and the power of the heart, I do not want to give you the impression that I am some kind of reductionist scientist person (with a mechanized mind) that does not recognize the power of our innate ability as spiritual beings to help to heal and remediate the consciousness of our human family, so I would like to share the following from my friend (Barbara Sinclair’s) article :
which wisely asserted:
“..just how powerful it is when massive numbers of people open their hearts and send that Love out into the Universe.
You can call it prayer, good vibes, or whatever you choose.
We humans are powerful electrical beings. The energy field of someone in a state of Love is beyond our comprehension. You feel it, don’t you, when someone walks into a room?
It’s the polar opposite of fear. Let’s stay out of fear.
The human-created environmental disasters are sometimes too heavy a burden to bear. Who among us doesn’t love this Earth? …
… So, if ever there was a time to harness our heart energy, it’s now.
Even if just for five minutes, maybe we can all send out our ❤️ energy not just to the humans but to the plants and animals who are suffering, as well.”
In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that Mother Earth is always looking out for us. Even when humans do not respect her body (as in the instances detailed above and in my previous post) truly Mother Earth is a being with immense tolerance, compassion and love for her children.
As I touched on in my Earth Teach Me post, She also offers us wisdom for communicating with and helping to heal our fellow beings through the way she emits her eternal heart beat (which some call the Schumann Resonance) that harmonizes and connects all living beings on the Earth. This lends credence to the truth behind what Barbara wrote in her heart felt article linked above and offers us inspiration on how we might emulate your way of speaking with your heart to consciously communicate (energetically) to bring peace and healing to this world.
Through choosing to learn and work with those species that have been here much longer than we humans have (such as bacteria, fungi and photosynthetic beings) we are able to tap into a "Living Library" of solutions that have been accumulated over millions of years of diverse environmental stimulus and genetic adaptation. If we combine that path of learning and symbiosis with utilizing the energy in our heart to be a force that brings healing and coherence to our fellow beings, we can embody the answer to many of the problems we face collectively and as individuals.
We can embody the medicine this world needs inwardly and allow it to emanate outwardly from our hearts and we can use our hands to provide medicine for the land. We are the ones we have been waiting for.
(I felt like adding this song here as the lyrics speak to much of what has been going on in my heart and mind recently)
Ooh I do love a good natural solution or six! Thanks a lot, I was just discussing the impact of glyphosate with my son. I was wrongly diagnosed with Coeliac disease but thanks to a vigilant Spanish doctor the correct tests were done and we discovered that I was not sensitive to wheat. I concluded that I must be sensitive to glyphosate which is liberally used to desiccate wheat immediately before harvest of British crops. This does not happen in Spain, so I fully recovered during the years I lived there but relapsed when I returned to UK. Cross-posting!
