Photosynthesis Of The Soul
(The following is an excerpt from the Regenerative Poems, Short Stories and Recipes for the Soul chapter of my book Recipes For Reciprocity: The Regenerative Way From Seed To Table)
The soul is a "seed" that is produced in an expression of love by a gardener that created and tends to the garden called the universe. These seeds are lovingly spread into the garden called the universe and encouraged to unfold and bud in many different soils.. under many different skies.
Each soul is imbued with the potential to bloom into something magnificent and unrepeatable offering its own beauty to the garden.
As a soul grows and unfolds it's leaves outstretched in search of nourishment the gardener is always near, showering smiles and offering food for the soul (in the form of stimulus that offers the souls opportunities to rise to the occasion and achieve their highest potential).
Love is the sunshine for the soul, gratitude the life giving water, acceptance and peace are the air the souls breath in and the immersion in a rich and diverse array of experiences and relationships is the soil that the souls draw sustenance from to grow and become something more in the garden called universe. When souls have love, gratitude, and are immersed in meaningful experiences, choices and interactions that serve to enrich their fellow souls they embark on a path towards spiritual metamorphosis.
This photosynthesis of the spirit transforms and unfolds souls to blossom onto ever higher levels of complexity, beauty and splendor as each one develops to offer its own unique gifts that enrich the garden it is a part of.
Choose your soils well, learn to sequester the life giving water, breath the air in deeply and always open up your leaves to give and receive the nourishing sunshine.
We souls can grow and thrive together, all connected in this magnificent garden.. nurturing each other to unfold into our highest potential.. each one of us blooming in our own unique way, yet still giving back to the community we are innately an intrinsic part of.
