I watched that documentary (River Of Freedom) last night and had tears of joy bearing witness to all those wonderful people coming together like that on the New Zealand Parliament grounds! Thank you very much for recommending it.
Here in Canada the media engaged in the spreading of lies and slander and the militarized police did beat people to a pulp for daring to ask for their bodily autonomy to be respected in the capitol city, but man, those New Zealand cops and government psyops people were on a whole different level!
The totally Orwellian messaging (Jacinda saying "mRNA injections are your 'ticket to freedom'.." and "we are the only source of truth"), the weaponization of huge speakers to keep protestors camping out awake at night (like a CIA torture chamber) with creepy vaccine ads for kids and the fricken macarena song! The police aiming sound cannons at people and smashing women trying to flee in the back of the head, wtf!!
And I see the media over there added in some bonus buzz word demonization rhetoric that I do not think we had aimed at us over here (calling the protestors both "Islamophobic" and "antisemitic" simultaneously). Astoundingly totalitarian and psychotic.
And ya, calling them "white supremist" as well when 30% plus were Māori ! Amazing.
Well, despite all that, seeing those people coming together was really moving and provided a sort of medicine in reminding me of the courage, determination and grace of many humans out there, so thanks for that!

We had EMF torture, sound and lights blasted here at night (humongous big bright ones while people slept), Long Range Acoustic Device (LARD) used to sizzle people by getting water (in our cells) to vibrate at the same hertz it boils, gauging out old people’s eyes., smashing ribcages and collarbones, tear gas of course, many ended up in hospital including Māori

No no no, you’ve got it all wrong, here in the wonderful democratic world you were born into automatically “signing” a “social contract” and in the small print it actually says you will be coerced to pay for your own brainwashing via taxes “for the greater good”.
It’s very safe and effective and proven to create hordes of docile, obedient and compliant adults willing to line up for what ever the government tells them to. It’s the patriotic thing to do after all!
No 100% the convoy was not about white supremacy. Actors were used and the media was corrupt in their messaging. They were paid to lie in their reporting using hard working Canadian tax dollars - propaganda playing its part. I remember all people of Canada coming together to protest government tyranny at the time. In my opinion, the Freedom Convoy was a psy op, not by many of the people who participated but those who organized. I remember thinking at the time, this came together so quickly and seemed like it appeared magically out of the air. If you look into the organizers, there are connections to Freemasonry and a lot more if you dig deep. The good people of Canada were played and it was to set a precedent that if anyone goes against government messaging, their bank account and freedom could be stripped away. This could very well have been a way to test before they flip the switch on the digital trap that lies in waiting. Time will tell. Seems most of the people in Canada fell for the covid plandemic. Out of all of my family and friends only three people saw through it if that says anything. I have a very large family and extended circle of friends.
It's amazing to me how ignorant and yet pompous, hateful, and evil some people are. On a similar note, I cried this morning hearing about how a TWO-YEAR-OLD child was tortured with cigarette burns on his little legs to try and get his father to ... whatever. This was in Palestine, but is Evil not the same everywhere it goes?
It showed a photo of this poor baby, still in a diaper, with cigarette burns on his little legs.... No. NO. This is so beyond "wrong" that I can't even think anything, just feel horrified.
What happens to innocent people who are hated for being what they ARE... As if they are THINGS... As if it just doesn't matter... As if we are not ALL one entity on a fundamental level... or ARE we? Lately, I struggle believing that anymore... I have no more words.
Sadly, I have heard of similar treatment of indigenous children (both here in “Canada” and indigenous Gaelic children/babies in “Ireland” in their equivalent of the residential schools) run by the Catholic Church. Many Gaelic babies were experimented on (with the approval of the Catholic Church) by big pharma corporations and some were maimed for life. Many died and they were thrown into the sewer (discovered in an excavation in recent years).
I do not have the capability to understand how people can be that malicious to innocent helpless ones but I suppose when it’s something that is institutionalized it usually is rooted in religious propaganda that convinces one group of humans they are superior to others.
I suppose when it comes to the oneness aspect of our consciousness , I would say that the people that do such things are not operating from their spirit but rather purely from the deranged human brain (the ego earthly self, which has become completely cut off from the conscience and compassion that is innate in their spiritual self, that they have silenced and suppressed).
Such actions, I sense, will result in them having to learn some hard lessons either in this life or the next.

On a random nerdy side note, I recently saw a star trek tv show with Patrick Stewart as the main character and it depicted these Warrior Nuns called the “Qowat Milat” (that believe in “absolute candour” and they stand in defense of those that cannot defend themselves). When ever I see your screen name name now I think of those warrior nuns and it makes me smile :)
In general, I have avoided the Mainstream Media since 1968 (like many of my generation, I woke to their true colors upon seeing the coverage of the Chicago Democratic Convention, where protesters not unlike myself were presented to the masses as terrorists and the police brutality as "defense"), so I'm not the best authority on how they covered the trucker convoy. But I did catch enough to be disgusted at the blatant lies. There was an obvious, concerted effort to associate the participants with the political extreme right wing, with Nazis, even. It was part of a broader campaign that made this association with everyone who questioned the vaccine or the mandates, and it succeeded in scaring many people, especially public figures, away from speaking their minds for fear of being perceived as right wing. The media, even the "liberal" public outlets, gave us a unified picture of the truckers as stupid, uneducated, disorganized, chaotic, and dirty; in other words, as rednecks. The implication was always there that they therefore must be white supremacists, misogynists, mindlessly angry, and violent, that they were anti-vaxxers (rather than pro-autonomy), anti-science, maybe flat-earthers. I never heard them called white supremacists explicitly, but I never saw a single non-white or female trucker represented or mentioned (again, I only saw a little; they may have been shown). This magnificent video you shared with us would have changed the attitude of millions of Americans if they had seen it; there was no clue in the media here of the multicultural, multiracial, cooperative, thoughtful, caring, creative, joyous movement that it displays. The media even implied that traffic and disorder problems were a product of the truckers' poor driving instead of deliberate and illegal police and government actions, which is an insulting and wildly inaccurate evaluation of the professional drivers of Canada, whose job traversing a huge country with rugged mountains, desolate spaces, and really bad weather requires tremendous concentration and skill. So thank you for getting this video out there; I'm going to share it.
As a hospital clerk working in Fort Rae, Northwest Territories, in the 1970s, I saw the best of health care, housing, new school, school bus for example, trying to help the local Dogrib tribe deal with the high alcoholism, family violence, suicide and tuberculosis. The tribe had funding from government to buy beautiful trucks and hunting rifles. the elders voted in prohibition of alcohol in an attempt to stop the problems their people were experiencing. this was enforced by the rcmp and the penalty for bringing in alcohol was incarceration in a nice trailer for a weekend with in and out privileges as directed by the Elders. I used to cook breakfast for the "prisoners" and they used to compliment me on such a delicious full breakfast, eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruit and coffee and enjoyed their dry weekend. I was a young wife of the RCMP and we lived on the reserve and had an intimate knowledge of life in Fort Rae and Edzo. I believe the people doing their time went home for dinner and came back to sleep in the trailer.
There is always two sides to a story and having witnessed first hand the good the government was attempting to do is ignored. For example, since the old wooden houses did not have plumbing and the honey buckets in plastic bags would be thrown outside and thaw in the spring and feces would drain into the lake......the government brought in brand new manufactured homes with built in septic tanks, oil tanks for heating and water tanks for water delivery - these sat empty due to refusal by the tribe to move into them.
I could continue with more details...such as free loans for trucks and rifles for hunting of which the young population used for trips to Yellowknife to buy alcohol. I assisted the public health nurses in the campaign to treat tuberculosis in the community and adhering to the medication regime was always a challenge.
A few of the Elders I met that were out in the bush for hunting/fishing season told me that they did not understand why their young people were not interested in hunting, keeping the traditions of their crafts and why they lived in such a disarray. the rcmp would make rounds to the tribe members in the bush for supplies, health and a general check in, so I accompanied as well.
I spent several years in this community and I share this experience because I did not see what you are writing about, in fact, the opposite, the teachers, nurses, police looked after the children with scabies on their faces, no breakfast or lunches prepare and food provided in school, the family abuse and incest that occurred and the pictures of the suicides.
the government tried to help the Dogrib nation move to Edzo across the lake because of the illness from the lake due to continuation of feces so the hospital, school, and other new housing was brought in for both communities. Many stayed in the old wooden houses and rejected the government offerings and the children were picked up daily in the school bus and driven to the new school. It was a very nice school. The children always went home everyday to their homes and families.
There are some serious omissions of pertinent facts in your portrayal of the Dene people you were describing, the government’s relationship with them and the reason they were living the way you describe in the first place.
While I commend any and all acts of compassion chosen by people in any line of work when they witness people suffering in their midst, it is also important to take an honest look at the institutional or other source(s) of the patterns of behaviour that resulted in that suffering to begin with.
As I described in another comment in this thread, the people you describe the government giving things to so magnanimously had been abused for over a century by the government and the church by the time you met them.
Those people thrived for centuries on that land before Europeans arrived and they had social technologies (ethics based in animistic worldviews and oral traditions) which were designed to incentivize and encourage courage, generosity, humility, determination and curiosity and to discourage greed, fear, arrogance, laziness and apathy. Those cultural threads (social technologies transmitted via oral traditions) were severed by the British and Canadian statists that criminalized their language and traditions, forced the children to speak English and discouraged the continuation of their traditions. You arrived after decades of oppression and abuse to see a people broken by the crushing jack boots of empire.
The British (which morphed into the Canadian government) stole their land using the church’s psychotic imperialistic Doctrine Of Discovery edict and fraudulent treaties so they could pillage the land for oil, diamonds and gold. They told them that they were “savages” and needed to think more like the white man (the stated purpose of the residential schools, as you can see by the quote below).
“When the school is on the reserve, the child lives with its parents, who are savages, and though he may learn to read and write, his habits and training mode of thought are Indian. He is simply a savage who can read and write. It has been strongly impressed upon myself, as head of the Department, that Indian children should be withdrawn as much as possible from the parental influence, and the only way to do that would be to put them in central training industrial schools where they will acquire the habits and modes of thought of white men.”

You mentioned alcoholism, well where do you think the alcohol came from that got them addicted?
During the time you describe being there the government did not allow for indigenous people to own their own land, and so they were essentially told to do what Klaus Swab and friends have become infamous for suggesting, that they should “own nothing and be happy”. While you were allowed to save up and buy property if you wished (gathering multigenerational wealth) the racist Canadian laws prevented the indigenous population from doing so. This all being enforced onto them on land their ancestors had stewarded for centuries before the greedy Europeans arrived.
It would be like me kicking in your door, throwing you out of your house and telling you that you are a dirty savage so you do not deserve to have a house, then giving you a little shack on the corner of your property to live in and telling you to be grateful for the gift. It’s also sort of like how the Trudeau government enacted all kinds of overtly fascist and totalitarian “health” edicts during COVID and then when the government lifted all their (totally insane, irrational and abusive) mandates they expected to get a pat on the back.
That is what the Candian government did to their people. Perhaps you were not aware of that until now, but that is the hard, cold (irrefutable) truth.
Then after pillaging their land for decades it became politically unpopular to treat indigenous people as subhumans, so people were sent in with government funding to “make reparations”.
I am glad to hear that your husband was an exception to the rule and he chose compassion where possible within the confines his position as tax payer funded armed agent of the state. I have met a few kind RCMP in my life, seen them just stopping on the street to help an elderly person that had fallen over or volunteering for community based activities. I have also witnessed more of the opposite side of the spectrum of behaviour in RCMP (I’ll spare you the details as they are quite disturbing and appalling).
So I thank you for shining a light on how there can indeed be good people trying to be compassionate within an intrinsically immoral/criminal and systematically abusive system because I am not interested in demonizing entire demographics based on their chosen line of work. Your comment however, lacks relevant historical context and thus your portrayal of the Canadian government and RCMP in their relation to the indigenous people is misleading and incomplete.

Sounds like naughty children... Because maybe that's how they were treated. Similar things going on in the States, where I live. There was a LOT of doing "what is good for them" whether the Native People wanted it or not. Mostly they didn't, and still don't. As someone who is Mostly Caucasian, I don't like being treated as a child, either, nor told what to do, by any government or anybody who believes they know what's best for me regardless of what I want or think. It's not just the Native folks who are treated this way. Government is simply not the best way, in my opinion. So, anyway... It often takes some digging down to find out what's really going on, and that can only happen if people feel like telling you. It's hard to understand what other people go through unless you go through the same thing yourself.
Your experiences are important; thank you for sharing them. It’s also important to realize that there are and have been different conditions and circumstances in other indigenous communities, some of them involving serious violations of basic rights. I've been thinking about this a lot recently. I think the actual purpose of divisive rhetoric aimed at alienating those of European descent is specifically to have them rally forwards figures like Trump and similar charlatans. It seems no accident that this division was fomented in advance of recruiting for another set of massive wars.
I say this because I've spent some time mentally retracting my steps since the reveal that Epstein and Peter Thiel talked about pushing "Brexit and tribalism". Lately I've been learning that the "pre-woke" left was actually right about a lot of important issues.. I did a small deep dive into "madness studies" based on trauma aware circles recognizing how the medical system enables abusers. It horrifies me how much important information was buried in the "culture war". I believe they want to seal the deal by restricting online communication to hostile cyberspace.

I think what you highlight about advanced divide and conquer psyops that corral specific demographics into stampeding towards various clowns and actors on the political stage is very astute. I see people in Canada falling for that game big time.
It’s also worth highlighting that there are real racists in Canada that suffer from various delusions of grandeur (superiority complexes) so those psyops that alienate non-racist people simply based on the melanin content of their skin has a way of pushing them into the open arms of actual racists that are interested in growing their ranks.
There are also racists that have a higher melanin skin content here, so that psyop rhetoric simultaneously gives them ammunition to convince more people to adopt their mentally unhealthy scapegoating / demonizing thinking.

The Canadian government (an organization that has, and continues to engage in land theft, pillaging forests, poisoning water, war profiteering, big pharma racketeering and more) effectively gets other people to feel guilty about things their organization has done (and is doing) despite the fact that most of those people applying the self-loathing label of “white settler” to themselves, are not racist and have not disrespected nor stolen from or harmed any person with blood indigenous to northern Turtle Island (aka “Canada”) in their lifetime.
It’s a very advanced trick, and it requires first using the public education system to inculcate implanted sociopolitical identities into the minds of people, so that they can later be used as a scapegoat for the actions of the government (when that intrinsically corrupt and criminal organization declares that the duplicitous and nefarious actions of government and its minions is the fault of all “white settler” “Canadians”).
I mean don’t get me wrong, I do acknowledge that there is significant genetic heritage specific “wealth” disparity here and elsewhere, but again that is the doing of the organized crime syndicate called government, not people that happened to be born to European parents.
For instance, in another comment in this thread a women describing herself as the wife of an RCMP officer that enforced Canadian government edicts in the 70-s in the Northwest Territories describes all the wonderful humanitarian gifts that the colonial government bestowed upon an Tłı̨chǫ (Dene) indigenous community (which she referred to as “Dogrib tribe” and basically describes as full of diseased, dirty, alcoholic, incest, abusive and unmotivated people). However, she neglected to highlight the fact that during that time frame Canadian law prevented indigenous people from owning their own land (that and the fact that it was the colonial statist Europeans that brought the alcohol, disease and annihilated their traditional life ways). They were essentially expected to “own nothing and be happy”.
The historical ignorance and/or mental gymnastics performed by people pushing those types of narratives is astounding to me. After all the Tłı̨chǫ (Dene) indigenous people she was referring to stewarded that land for centuries before the British (and then Canadian) statists arrived and they were doing just fine. So the British show up tell them “hey you, heathens, we claim this land in the name of the crown!” And then some years later they feel bad and they “gift” them back some “crown land” (which was stolen from them in the first place) and offer handouts (after they’d criminalized their language and ceremonies and engaged in cultural genocide) and they want to call themselves heroes.
More specifically the fur traders and then “Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate” showed up around 1850 to tell them they were dirty savages that needed to be civilized and saved by swearing fealty to the church, fur traders got them addicted to hard liquor making them more compliant and then in 1921 the Canadian statists found oil, gold, diamonds and gas up north and they sent their legal psyop specialists to get the indigenous people to sign over their land to the crown (telling them the treaty was about “peace and friendship”) after which they told them to get the fuck off the land and stay out of the way when ever they wanted to set up a gold mine, diamond mine or oil well.
Those nuns I mentioned above (and the RCMP) ensured the children would not be allowed to speak their own language or practice their traditions (which were orally transmitted) via inducting them into the residential school system and once they were not able to live off the land anymore as their practices had been erased by the church they gave them handouts , told them to stop being so depressed and drinking so much (patting themselves on the back for being so generous).
Then in more recent decades it becomes unpopular to just engage in cultural genocide and tell people to shut up and die or get out of the way when the state wants their land so they did “reparations” (set up reserves and gave them trinkets, while preventing them from owning land so they could not prosper in the capitalist system forced on them, and told them to own nothing and be happy).
And people like that lady commenting below think our benevolent government did them a favour, it’s quite disturbing when one takes a step back and considers the broader historical context.
On a seperate note, I recently had a woman ask me if I’m indigenous (as though that genetic background is a prerequisite for speaking on specific subject matter) and she informed me that she is a “settler”. So I facetiously asked her what land she had “settled” and how many indigenous people she forced off the land. Then she got agitated and self identified as just “white”.
Even the term “white” itself is a psyop in my opinion. Nothing more than an oligarch invented term intended to delineate “their people” from the peasant / pleb class they wanted (and want) to rule over.
Why would anyone want to self identify as such unless they have delusions of grandeur like the ruling class that began weaponizing that invented designation a few centuries ago?
You would not have to go back very far into history to find ancestors that would have no idea what you are talking about if you referred to your self or them as “white” (maybe the late 17th century). And yet there are people that are convinced there is such a thing as “white culture” (I have dealt with a few of them in the Corbett Report threads, usually Trump enthusiasts). They have no idea how to describe this mirage of “white culture” yet they tell me we should “defend it and preserve its purity”. I find this to be very bewildering indeed.
So ya I do not buy into any of those narratives, I will call out those promoting them and I will ally with anyone interested in using their creative gifts to make this world a better place, protect the sacred and live in service of life.

It's amazing to me how ignorant and yet pompous, hateful, and evil some people are. On a similar note, I cried this morning hearing about how a TWO-YEAR-OLD child was tortured with cigarette burns on his little legs to try and get his father to ... whatever. This was in Palestine, but is Evil not the same everywhere it goes?
It showed a photo of this poor baby, still in a diaper, with cigarette burns on his little legs.... No. NO. This is so beyond "wrong" that I can't even think anything, just feel horrified.
What happens to innocent people who are hated for being what they ARE... As if they are THINGS... As if it just doesn't matter... As if we are not ALL one entity on a fundamental level... or ARE we? Lately, I struggle believing that anymore... I have no more words.

Sadly, I have heard of similar treatment of indigenous children (both here in “Canada” and indigenous Gaelic children/babies in “Ireland” in their equivalent of the residential schools) run by the Catholic Church. Many Gaelic babies were experimented on (with the approval of the Catholic Church) by big pharma corporations and some were maimed for life. Many died and they were thrown into the sewer (discovered in an excavation in recent years).
I do not have the capability to understand how people can be that malicious to innocent helpless ones but I suppose when it’s something that is institutionalized it usually is rooted in religious propaganda that convinces one group of humans they are superior to others.
I suppose when it comes to the oneness aspect of our consciousness , I would say that the people that do such things are not operating from their spirit but rather purely from the deranged human brain (the ego earthly self, which has become completely cut off from the conscience and compassion that is innate in their spiritual self, that they have silenced and suppressed).
Such actions, I sense, will result in them having to learn some hard lessons either in this life or the next.

In general, I have avoided the Mainstream Media since 1968 (like many of my generation, I woke to their true colors upon seeing the coverage of the Chicago Democratic Convention, where protesters not unlike myself were presented to the masses as terrorists and the police brutality as "defense"), so I'm not the best authority on how they covered the trucker convoy. But I did catch enough to be disgusted at the blatant lies. There was an obvious, concerted effort to associate the participants with the political extreme right wing, with Nazis, even. It was part of a broader campaign that made this association with everyone who questioned the vaccine or the mandates, and it succeeded in scaring many people, especially public figures, away from speaking their minds for fear of being perceived as right wing. The media, even the "liberal" public outlets, gave us a unified picture of the truckers as stupid, uneducated, disorganized, chaotic, and dirty; in other words, as rednecks. The implication was always there that they therefore must be white supremacists, misogynists, mindlessly angry, and violent, that they were anti-vaxxers (rather than pro-autonomy), anti-science, maybe flat-earthers. I never heard them called white supremacists explicitly, but I never saw a single non-white or female trucker represented or mentioned (again, I only saw a little; they may have been shown). This magnificent video you shared with us would have changed the attitude of millions of Americans if they had seen it; there was no clue in the media here of the multicultural, multiracial, cooperative, thoughtful, caring, creative, joyous movement that it displays. The media even implied that traffic and disorder problems were a product of the truckers' poor driving instead of deliberate and illegal police and government actions, which is an insulting and wildly inaccurate evaluation of the professional drivers of Canada, whose job traversing a huge country with rugged mountains, desolate spaces, and really bad weather requires tremendous concentration and skill. So thank you for getting this video out there; I'm going to share it.
As a hospital clerk working in Fort Rae, Northwest Territories, in the 1970s, I saw the best of health care, housing, new school, school bus for example, trying to help the local Dogrib tribe deal with the high alcoholism, family violence, suicide and tuberculosis. The tribe had funding from government to buy beautiful trucks and hunting rifles. the elders voted in prohibition of alcohol in an attempt to stop the problems their people were experiencing. this was enforced by the rcmp and the penalty for bringing in alcohol was incarceration in a nice trailer for a weekend with in and out privileges as directed by the Elders. I used to cook breakfast for the "prisoners" and they used to compliment me on such a delicious full breakfast, eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruit and coffee and enjoyed their dry weekend. I was a young wife of the RCMP and we lived on the reserve and had an intimate knowledge of life in Fort Rae and Edzo. I believe the people doing their time went home for dinner and came back to sleep in the trailer.
There is always two sides to a story and having witnessed first hand the good the government was attempting to do is ignored. For example, since the old wooden houses did not have plumbing and the honey buckets in plastic bags would be thrown outside and thaw in the spring and feces would drain into the lake......the government brought in brand new manufactured homes with built in septic tanks, oil tanks for heating and water tanks for water delivery - these sat empty due to refusal by the tribe to move into them.
I could continue with more details...such as free loans for trucks and rifles for hunting of which the young population used for trips to Yellowknife to buy alcohol. I assisted the public health nurses in the campaign to treat tuberculosis in the community and adhering to the medication regime was always a challenge.
A few of the Elders I met that were out in the bush for hunting/fishing season told me that they did not understand why their young people were not interested in hunting, keeping the traditions of their crafts and why they lived in such a disarray. the rcmp would make rounds to the tribe members in the bush for supplies, health and a general check in, so I accompanied as well.
I spent several years in this community and I share this experience because I did not see what you are writing about, in fact, the opposite, the teachers, nurses, police looked after the children with scabies on their faces, no breakfast or lunches prepare and food provided in school, the family abuse and incest that occurred and the pictures of the suicides.
the government tried to help the Dogrib nation move to Edzo across the lake because of the illness from the lake due to continuation of feces so the hospital, school, and other new housing was brought in for both communities. Many stayed in the old wooden houses and rejected the government offerings and the children were picked up daily in the school bus and driven to the new school. It was a very nice school. The children always went home everyday to their homes and families.

There are some serious omissions of pertinent facts in your portrayal of the Dene people you were describing, the government’s relationship with them and the reason they were living the way you describe in the first place.
While I commend any and all acts of compassion chosen by people in any line of work when they witness people suffering in their midst, it is also important to take an honest look at the institutional or other source(s) of the patterns of behaviour that resulted in that suffering to begin with.
As I described in another comment in this thread, the people you describe the government giving things to so magnanimously had been abused for over a century by the government and the church by the time you met them.
Those people thrived for centuries on that land before Europeans arrived and they had social technologies (ethics based in animistic worldviews and oral traditions) which were designed to incentivize and encourage courage, generosity, humility, determination and curiosity and to discourage greed, fear, arrogance, laziness and apathy. Those cultural threads (social technologies transmitted via oral traditions) were severed by the British and Canadian statists that criminalized their language and traditions, forced the children to speak English and discouraged the continuation of their traditions. You arrived after decades of oppression and abuse to see a people broken by the crushing jack boots of empire.
The British (which morphed into the Canadian government) stole their land using the church’s psychotic imperialistic Doctrine Of Discovery edict and fraudulent treaties so they could pillage the land for oil, diamonds and gold. They told them that they were “savages” and needed to think more like the white man (the stated purpose of the residential schools, as you can see by the quote below).
“When the school is on the reserve, the child lives with its parents, who are savages, and though he may learn to read and write, his habits and training mode of thought are Indian. He is simply a savage who can read and write. It has been strongly impressed upon myself, as head of the Department, that Indian children should be withdrawn as much as possible from the parental influence, and the only way to do that would be to put them in central training industrial schools where they will acquire the habits and modes of thought of white men.”

You mentioned alcoholism, well where do you think the alcohol came from that got them addicted?
During the time you describe being there the government did not allow for indigenous people to own their own land, and so they were essentially told to do what Klaus Swab and friends have become infamous for suggesting, that they should “own nothing and be happy”. While you were allowed to save up and buy property if you wished (gathering multigenerational wealth) the racist Canadian laws prevented the indigenous population from doing so. This all being enforced onto them on land their ancestors had stewarded for centuries before the greedy Europeans arrived.
It would be like me kicking in your door, throwing you out of your house and telling you that you are a dirty savage so you do not deserve to have a house, then giving you a little shack on the corner of your property to live in and telling you to be grateful for the gift. It’s also sort of like how the Trudeau government enacted all kinds of overtly fascist and totalitarian “health” edicts during COVID and then when the government lifted all their (totally insane, irrational and abusive) mandates they expected to get a pat on the back.
That is what the Candian government did to their people. Perhaps you were not aware of that until now, but that is the hard, cold (irrefutable) truth.
Then after pillaging their land for decades it became politically unpopular to treat indigenous people as subhumans, so people were sent in with government funding to “make reparations”.
I am glad to hear that your husband was an exception to the rule and he chose compassion where possible within the confines his position as tax payer funded armed agent of the state. I have met a few kind RCMP in my life, seen them just stopping on the street to help an elderly person that had fallen over or volunteering for community based activities. I have also witnessed more of the opposite side of the spectrum of behaviour in RCMP (I’ll spare you the details as they are quite disturbing and appalling).
So I thank you for shining a light on how there can indeed be good people trying to be compassionate within an intrinsically immoral/criminal and systematically abusive system because I am not interested in demonizing entire demographics based on their chosen line of work. Your comment however, lacks relevant historical context and thus your portrayal of the Canadian government and RCMP in their relation to the indigenous people is misleading and incomplete.

Sounds like naughty children... Because maybe that's how they were treated. Similar things going on in the States, where I live. There was a LOT of doing "what is good for them" whether the Native People wanted it or not. Mostly they didn't, and still don't. As someone who is Mostly Caucasian, I don't like being treated as a child, either, nor told what to do, by any government or anybody who believes they know what's best for me regardless of what I want or think. It's not just the Native folks who are treated this way. Government is simply not the best way, in my opinion. So, anyway... It often takes some digging down to find out what's really going on, and that can only happen if people feel like telling you. It's hard to understand what other people go through unless you go through the same thing yourself.
Your experiences are important; thank you for sharing them. It’s also important to realize that there are and have been different conditions and circumstances in other indigenous communities, some of them involving serious violations of basic rights. I've been thinking about this a lot recently. I think the actual purpose of divisive rhetoric aimed at alienating those of European descent is specifically to have them rally forwards figures like Trump and similar charlatans. It seems no accident that this division was fomented in advance of recruiting for another set of massive wars.
I say this because I've spent some time mentally retracting my steps since the reveal that Epstein and Peter Thiel talked about pushing "Brexit and tribalism". Lately I've been learning that the "pre-woke" left was actually right about a lot of important issues.. I did a small deep dive into "madness studies" based on trauma aware circles recognizing how the medical system enables abusers. It horrifies me how much important information was buried in the "culture war". I believe they want to seal the deal by restricting online communication to hostile cyberspace.

I think what you highlight about advanced divide and conquer psyops that corral specific demographics into stampeding towards various clowns and actors on the political stage is very astute. I see people in Canada falling for that game big time.
It’s also worth highlighting that there are real racists in Canada that suffer from various delusions of grandeur (superiority complexes) so those psyops that alienate non-racist people simply based on the melanin content of their skin has a way of pushing them into the open arms of actual racists that are interested in growing their ranks.
There are also racists that have a higher melanin skin content here, so that psyop rhetoric simultaneously gives them ammunition to convince more people to adopt their mentally unhealthy scapegoating / demonizing thinking.
As I explored in my post on “Truth and Reconciliation Day” ( https://gavinmounsey.substack.com/p/some-irreconcilable-truths-on-truth ) the rhetoric pushed forward by the Canadian government urging people to feel guilty about having a low melanin skin content and ancestors from Europe (telling them to self identify as “white settlers”) is another big part of this psyop. The Canadian government (an organization that has, and continues to engage in land theft, pillaging forests, poisoning water, war profiteering, big pharma racketeering and more) effectively gets other people to feel guilty about things their organization has done (and is doing) despite the fact that most of those people applying the self-loathing label of “white settler” to themselves, are not racist and have not disrespected nor stolen from or harmed any person with blood indigenous to northern Turtle Island (aka “Canada”) in their lifetime.
It’s a very advanced trick, and it requires first using the public education system to inculcate implanted sociopolitical identities into the minds of people, so that they can later be used as a scapegoat for the actions of the government (when that intrinsically corrupt and criminal organization declares that the duplicitous and nefarious actions of government and its minions is the fault of all “white settler” “Canadians”).
I mean don’t get me wrong, I do acknowledge that there is significant genetic heritage specific “wealth” disparity here and elsewhere, but again that is the doing of the organized crime syndicate called government, not people that happened to be born to European parents.
For instance, in another comment in this thread a women describing herself as the wife of an RCMP officer that enforced Canadian government edicts in the 70-s in the Northwest Territories describes all the wonderful humanitarian gifts that the colonial government bestowed upon an Tłı̨chǫ (Dene) indigenous community (which she referred to as “Dogrib tribe” and basically describes as full of diseased, dirty, alcoholic, incest, abusive and unmotivated people). However, she neglected to highlight the fact that during that time frame Canadian law prevented indigenous people from owning their own land (that and the fact that it was the colonial statist Europeans that brought the alcohol, disease and annihilated their traditional life ways). They were essentially expected to “own nothing and be happy”.
The historical ignorance and/or mental gymnastics performed by people pushing those types of narratives is astounding to me. After all the Tłı̨chǫ (Dene) indigenous people she was referring to stewarded that land for centuries before the British (and then Canadian) statists arrived and they were doing just fine. So the British show up tell them “hey you, heathens, we claim this land in the name of the crown!” And then some years later they feel bad and they “gift” them back some “crown land” (which was stolen from them in the first place) and offer handouts (after they’d criminalized their language and ceremonies and engaged in cultural genocide) and they want to call themselves heroes.
More specifically the fur traders and then “Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate” showed up around 1850 to tell them they were dirty savages that needed to be civilized and saved by swearing fealty to the church, fur traders got them addicted to hard liquor making them more compliant and then in 1921 the Canadian statists found oil, gold, diamonds and gas up north and they sent their legal psyop specialists to get the indigenous people to sign over their land to the crown (telling them the treaty was about “peace and friendship”) after which they told them to get the fuck off the land and stay out of the way when ever they wanted to set up a gold mine, diamond mine or oil well.
Those nuns I mentioned above (and the RCMP) ensured the children would not be allowed to speak their own language or practice their traditions (which were orally transmitted) via inducting them into the residential school system and once they were not able to live off the land anymore as their practices had been erased by the church they gave them handouts , told them to stop being so depressed and drinking so much (patting themselves on the back for being so generous).
Then in more recent decades it becomes unpopular to just engage in cultural genocide and tell people to shut up and die or get out of the way when the state wants their land so they did “reparations” (set up reserves and gave them trinkets, while preventing them from owning land so they could not prosper in the capitalist system forced on them, and told them to own nothing and be happy).
And people like that lady commenting below think our benevolent government did them a favour, it’s quite disturbing when one takes a step back and considers the broader historical context.
On a seperate note, I recently had a woman ask me if I’m indigenous (as though that genetic background is a prerequisite for speaking on specific subject matter) and she informed me that she is a “settler”. So I facetiously asked her what land she had “settled” and how many indigenous people she forced off the land. Then she got agitated and self identified as just “white”.
Even the term “white” itself is a psyop in my opinion. Nothing more than an oligarch invented term intended to delineate “their people” from the peasant / pleb class they wanted (and want) to rule over.
Why would anyone want to self identify as such unless they have delusions of grandeur like the ruling class that began weaponizing that invented designation a few centuries ago?
You would not have to go back very far into history to find ancestors that would have no idea what you are talking about if you referred to your self or them as “white” (maybe the late 17th century). And yet there are people that are convinced there is such a thing as “white culture” (I have dealt with a few of them in the Corbett Report threads, usually Trump enthusiasts). They have no idea how to describe this mirage of “white culture” yet they tell me we should “defend it and preserve its purity”. I find this to be very bewildering indeed.
So ya I do not buy into any of those narratives, I will call out those promoting them and I will ally with anyone interested in using their creative gifts to make this world a better place, protect the sacred and live in service of life.
It's my observation that the Bad Guys have two main weapons:
Fear, and Divide and Conquer.
It's also my observation that arrogance, greed, and a penchant for abusing others, especially in combination, make for a lot of misery for those who are victimized by the powerful.
