This post shares an upgraded version of a recipe from my first book which includes a nutrient dense, flavor packed and medicinal grade carotenoid/curcumin-rich Kimchi that will go in my next book
Glad you like the recipe and ya Napa cabbage is not do or die in this recipe either, green cabbage will work too.
When I make this recipe in the autumn I love to add Chrysanthemums (aka Mums), Calendula (aka Marigold) and/or Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) flowers to really kick the golden glow (and medicinal benefits into overdrive :)
This recipe uses potent glowing gold pigmented foods like turmeric rhizome so it will leave your hands and cutting board stained as well. For a few days after I make this recipe each time, people look at my glowing orange hands and make a face sometimes at work but I just laugh and tell them that it is part of my long term slow release antioxidant skin care treatment strategy! ;)
Thanks for the comment. I hope you give making your own version a try.
Thanks!
💖🙏 What a tasty recipe. Thank you!
Thank you Gavin.
I've grown to love Kimchi and this recipe looks amazing.
As we cannot easily get Napa cabbage over here in the UK, I settled on Red cabbage for it's extra vitamin C and the taste is sublime.
I does stain absolutely everything a deep red though.
