Many many thanks.

You show us a path to get away from the system so many of us complain on a daily basis.

This is an incredibly useful archive I will be printing and saving for reference. Thank you for compiling this herbal resource and all it inspires! We’ve been getting into custom blended teas more lately for immunity and digestion, but blends for physical stamina, sleep and a mental boost depending what the day holds is next level.

Hi Gavin, I haven't had a chance to read through this article, but did you include hibiscus tea? It's one of my favorites, with a little fresh lemon and a small amount of raw honey....? Also, I would like to send you a small book on the totally edible moringa tree, written for children by now deceased friends (Hank Bruce and Tomi Jill Folk--he was a horticulturist; she a pastor). If you send me your mailing address I'll put it in the mail. Easy, illustrated 10-15 minute read.

Hey Mary!

I also enjoy hibiscus tea (especially when brewed into kombucha and enjoyed chilled in the summer). I have also tried moringa leaf tea.

I had totally forgot to include those! Thank you for reminding me.

They are added to the main list now. I`ll also try to incorporate them into each of the relevant lists for addressing specific health issues and/or optimizing the health of particular body functions in the article when I have time.

I would be honored to receive that gift of a book on Moringa.

Have you read a book called "The Healing Trees: The Edible and Herbal Qualities of Northeastern Woodland Trees" by Robbie Anderman?

Thank you for the thoughtful comment.

I appreciate the generous description of my article. Thanks for summarizing several key points I focused on and sharing your own experience with herbal infusions.

One thing I had wanted to include in the article that serves to further potentiate the efficacy of synergistic herbal teas is fermentation.

For instance, when you use a SCOBY or water kefir grains to ferment turmeric rhizome infused tea, it not only adds probiotics to the mix but also increases the quantity of a unique (and medically potent) compound ( tetrahydra-curcumin ) via the metabolic action of the lactic acid bacteria.

The fermentation process also unlocks greater bioavailability of other phytonutrients and medicinal compounds in plants and fungi.

I am glad I included the section on combining tinctures with teas but I had to just stop and post it or I would have kept finding new things to add for weeks!

That said, I will likely go back and update the post at some point to highlight the synergy of fermenting herbal teas as well.
