An exploration of what impact large scale solar events could have on our technological infrastructure (including telecommunications systems, power grids, modern vehicles and digital money systems).
Thank you so much Gavin! I just saw your kind and uplifting reply. I would love to buy your book but I don’t have the money at this time, and it’s sadly not at our library, though I wish it would be! Thank you for everything you are doing, you are an inspiration! Blessings, Sandy
Gavin, thank you for your thoughtful enlightening writing! I am a recent widow with 3 children and want to prepare—can we do so in northern CA or is it too dry here (it rains only most winters)? Is there somewhere else we need to move or can you gather enough rain to make anywhere work? Our deepest blessings and thanks, Sandra Lee
I cannot respond in full tonight but wanted to let you know that I have read your kind and candid comment and it will be in my thoughts until I can respond fully.
I can tell you that despite humanity's toying with the weather (geoengineering/weather warfare tech) and despite the degraded state of some soils/ecosystems the living Earth has our back. She will provide those with the will and courage to align with her living systems and ancient wisdom all they need to survive and feed their loved ones in the times ahead.
My book ( https://gavinmounsey.substack.com/p/reviews-for-recipes-for-reciprocity ) has some helpful pointers for drought tolerant gardening strategies (like Hügelkultur beds) but i`ll think on the variables you described about your situation specifically and get back to you when I can.
Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to sharing more info soon.
Greetings Bugey libre :) thanks for taking the time to read my article and comment.
I have not grown wormwood before my self but I hear it offers many medicinal benefits. How do you use it? Have you ever used it to make topical medicines?
I am glad to hear you will share some of the abundance of your harvest, I have seen some amazing ripple effects when I do this with heirloom seed. Sometimes a whole basket full of produce finds its way back to me, sometimes people create community garden projects and share the resulting seed and harvests further out into the community and sometimes people send pics back to me of their first garden and them proudly holding their first harvest. All of these things are more valuable to me than money and so I feel like sharing harvests and heirloom seed especially is a great way to invest in the Earth, in local community and in the future :)

Very good. Useful, informative and well written.
An interesting subject indeed. We have harvested a lot of artemisia sinensis for the winter so we will share with good people we met...
You sound a good human being.
Thank you Man.
