Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
This post shares some of my thoughts on Christmas, exploring all we have to be grateful for, a prayer from my heart and an invitation to take action in participating in shaping our shared future.
Today is a day that many celebrate to honor the life of a famous carpenter from a little town called Nazareth.
Though I am not into dogmatic religious belief systems myself, I do have a lot of respect for that man and I wanna show him (and all of you) some love on this day.
After reading a plethora of historical records, studying observer’s accounts of events and searching my heart of hearts for intuitive guidance, I came to the conclusion that Jesus knew he would not see the seeds he planted in the hearts and minds of men grow onto their true potential in his lifetime, yet he planted them all the same. He chose to live with an unshakable faith and knowing that providence is as the dawn and the spring rain.. inviting the seeds we plant with love, selflessness, kindness, compassion and gentleness to germinate and grow onto their true potential.
His choices represented a conscious act to refuse to capitulate to the edicts of a corrupt state/empire and it’s thought police goons that were telling him say stuff he did not want to (knowing that his refusing to capitulate would result in his being murdered) that is a courageous and noble act. Perhaps many of us would have chosen to capitulate, say uncle and read some script to the people to try and save our own skin and to appease the psychotic power hungry scribes, pharisees and Romans, but Jesus had the strength of character and moral fortitude to stand true to what he believed in, even knowing it would cost him dearly, I personally admire him for that.
While today is about the celebration of the above described man (and the spirit of goodwill, love, compassion and generosity that he shared with this world through living by example), today I want to remind all of you that Jesus of Nazareth was not the only one who arrived on this beautiful Earth with the potential to send out big ripple effects into this young civilization on a world on the outskirts of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Each one of us arrived on this Earth with seeds in our hand. Those seeds are the unique gifts within your being that can be unlocked when you look within, with humility and a want to leave this world a little bit more beautiful than it was when you arrived here.
You are the gardener of the dreams of the tomorrow. Now is the time to discover and remember the seeds you brought with you, plant them in fertile soils and become one of the architects of a more beautiful world worth gifting onto future generations.
I would also like to humbly remind you that regardless of what day of the year it is, each and everyone of us are constantly receiving gifts. For each moment is an unrepeatable gift, each breath an unfathomable miracle of celestial mathematics. It took eons of tireless work for the stage to be set for you to live here, now, in this life. Mother Earth has nurtured and built a paradise and a sanctuary for you to experience, co-create in and share.
Our bodies (and even the Earth herself) are made of stardust. Ancient stellar matter that was cast out from the core of a dying star in a blinding flash of cosmic light (a cosmic event that apparently is memorialized in each of our eyes, as stellar explosions often look very much like the human iris).
We are living a life that is made possible by a symphony of miracles aligned in perfect harmony. Human beings are born of the merging of stardust, starlight, spirit, the lifeblood of Mother Earth and the symbiotic alliance of ancient organisms (that dwell within us even now).
We are living an experience which represents an incredible gift in which we can align all the forces that brought us into being in a way that allows us to be the best version of ourselves. When we cultivate crops in our garden, create in the kitchen and give back to the living soil through composting what we are really doing is acknowledging that we are not here by accident. Through nurturing the Earth and our bodies we are engaging in a sort of prayer that transcends all religiosity.
Thus, on this fine day, may you give yourself the gift of being truly present, living with courage, honesty, being grateful and remembering who you are inside. This Christmas may the gifts of love, kindness, gentleness, tolerance, hope (and physical gifts) that you share with others invoke a deep sense of joy, healing and peace in those you share them with.
Courage and wisdom take many forms... one of the most potent forms they take is expressed in the choice to become and live the authentic embodiment of that which you wish to see as reality on this world.
This means moving beyond just talking about a vision for a new paradigm on Earth, and into truly knowing this new paradigm and age is as real as the baby that has not yet emerged when the mother goes into labor. It means having the same faith and knowing you embody when you sow seeds in the rich soil, water and expect they will sprout and become something beautiful.
Do not wish for a better world, become the essence of that better world in your every thought, perspective, relationship and action.
Show the complacent and fearful masses that are conforming and complying to the insanity currently widespread on the Earth there is another way by cultivating a way of living rich in joy, health, purpose, courage, creativity and hope so they can see the benefits offered by the alternative. Show them they too can break through all perceived limitations, expectations and attempts at oppression and live a life of deep fulfillment and purpose.
Choose to live each moment as though you are creating a piece of art that you will share with countless generations that will call this place home after we are gone... because whether consciously or unconsciously… that is exactly what we are all doing.
This Christmas I invite you to choose to unlock your own inner gifts and share them with the world.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
