This post shares a video slide show with this month's Media Monarchy broadcast that featured "Nettle, the underground resistance fighter" as the topic for May 2025.
For those that missed it, I love stinging Nettle! :)
When I was a kid I just saw nettle as the annoying plant that would sting me while I foraged for blueberries and blackberries, now that I have learned to look at this plant through the eyes of my ancestors it is one of my favorite plant allies for creating in the kitchen and making tea.
Come on a little journey with me to discover some of the many gifts of this often misunderstood plant.

We love our nettles.
Great info! What a coincidence. I just made a big batch of stinging nettle tinctures! I use it to suppress histamine and lower the incidence of seasonal allergic reactions. A neighbour of mine uses my nettle tincture for his prostate health. Stinging nettle, Mullein and Eastern White Pine are my favourites!
