How are the blooms looking in the city this time of year? :)

Much love from the west!

The blooms help the city look better that’s for sure!

Love and peace from the east.

Gavin, your eye for beauty stuns. Truly. Each picture was more magnificent than the one before. Some of them made me grieve for the northern state I left behind recently... thank you for the gorgeous reminders of my old, much-missed flora friends.

Thanks Mary! Coming from someone that paints beautiful pictures, illuminates truth and enlivens the imagination with words I am truly flattered by your kind words.

May the seeds you plant in your garden result in many new cherished floral friends which can uplift and nourish your spirit and inspire your lovely poetry.

Breathtakingly beautiful, Gavin, and all the more so because I know how big the Nature-loving heart taking the photos is. You're making me want to dig out my box of "real" cameras! Thank you! 💚

I savored my way through this. I think this is maybe a God's-eye view, not distant but up close and intimate. Even my humble borage, that takes over my garden, was precious. I've wondered what the veronica flower looks like--I'll forward it to my Veronica and James, the newlyweds.

I really appreciate the generous and thoughtful comment Tereza :)

I love your description of the viewpoint that appreciates and recognizes the beauty and geometry of nature in the realm of the fleeting and finite (smaller than the human eye can often see).

I love borage! Those tones of blue and purple, they really speak to and nourish my spirit.. and that cucumber smell when I brush up against the leaves.. so refreshing! :)

Veronica blossoms are beloved by our native bees here, I like to plant them near our goji vines and tomato plants for increasing pollination rates.

I'll let my Veronica know that she's a pollinator attractor ;-) She's also the figure eight made by the arc of the bullfighter's cape--dramatic flair but the flower has more function.

Thanks for checking out my photos and for the thoughtful comment.

I do enjoy taking landscape and panoramic pics as well but to be honest, where we currently live humans have decimated 99.98% of the naturally occurring ecology and so I find respite from the mass ecocide when I aim my lens up close at the genius and beauty in Creator's design that is embodied in each leaf and flower we manage to nurture in our little oasis in the 'desert' of "sustainable development".

I am glad you enjoyed the photos and will share more when I can.

Thank you Gavin.

I will check out your link as well.

I love looking at the tiny plants at my feet. With macro photography you're bringing into focus pieces that often are not seen.

There is a flower here called a bluet. It's so tiny. It's buds make a small box with it's four petals.
